Sea of Dreams
The day is dawning
From yet another restless dream
Where I heard you planning
Another vengeant scheme
A nightmare in the making
When by your side I was waking
Now your absence creating
These nights of recurring themes
In the hours I’m awake
I have forgotten
The only solace I can take
I won’t remember most infractions
In a sea of dreams

How the wave increase refraction
Late in the evening
While surrounded by four walls
Sleep comes easy
With no memory at all
Darkness closes in
You’d think the nightmares would begin
Not so just the days end
Only mornings do you recall
You’d think I’d remember
Some dream of pleasantry
But fear seems a harbor
To contrast reality
So such a treasure
Remains hidden and obscure
A means to measure
My vulnerabilities
